The compact size has allowed me to use the set in places I would normally have had to use a short screw driver and much manual effort. I have used it to drive wood screws, self tapping sheet metal screws, and have a socket adapter and have driven 3/8 bolts into wood to hold home theater projectors. These tools have saved me a great amount of time and have returned their cost to me in time saved and increased productivity. This little set has been one of my favorite tools in my tool box. I have found myself using the impact driver more often than the drill.
I wear out at the end of the day before it does. I purchased this kit for installing metal roofs and found it to be the best tools I've ever owned. It is a multi-taskable kit that I can just pick up & go & know it will get the job done.
My fiance' bought this kit and just loves it.He is a trim carpenter so it gets used about every dayand I always hear him say good things about the ease of operationof this product.
There are plenty of premium tools in this price range that will do the job. Despite having compact 1.5Ah batteries they seem to have more than adequate power for my needs. The ergos are great.
I'm not a pro and only an occasional handyman - but I decided I wanted to spend the extra money to buy premium quality tools this time around. The case is nicely made but boxy and awkward. I bought this set after one of the batteries for my 20 yr old Craftsman drill/driver gave up the ghost.
The driver and impact will find a home in my toolbox. If you want a well made, lightweight, easy to use drill and impact driver that gives lots of bang for your buck - these are hard to beat. I researched Rigid, Milwaukee, DeWalt, and Hitachi before deciding on this set - primarily on size and how comfortable they feel in my hand.
In the few weeks I've had them I am convinced I made the right decision.These tools have lots of torque.
Highly recommended. Compact design, lighter weight still plenty powerful yet reduces fatigue, especially when working above the waist. 3 piece set was much lower than 2 piece at Home Depot. Driver allows you to get into those tight places.
